Nucleus 2050

Empowering the next generation of Nuclear

October 1st 2025
Bannière Nucleus

The nuclear sector stands at a pivotal moment. Following the commitment from numerous countries at COP28 to triple nuclear energy capacity by 2050 in support of a sustainable economy, significant efforts are needed to strengthen and expand the workforce.

To harness this special moment, we’re proud to launch NUCLEUS 2050 : Empowering the next generation of Nuclear – an event born from a collaboration between the French Young Generation (SFEN Jeune Generation), ENS-YGN and IYNC, dedicated to bridging the gap between generations in the nuclear sector.

As we look ahead to 2050, we all agree that the sector’s greatest strength lies on its people. By combining the knowledge of those who built its foundations with the fresh perspectives of emerging professionals, we can pave the way for more growth, sustainability, and innovation.

Our mission is simple yet impactful:

  • Foster meaningful connections between senior and young generations.
  • Create a space for sharing knowledge, ideas, and inspiration.
  • Empower the nuclear community to adapt, grow, and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
  • Provide today’s leaders with a roadmap’s seed emerging from workshops and discussions with the senior and young participants.

Join us on October 1 for our NUCLEUS 2050 Event ! This first-of-a-kind gathering will feature:

  • Interactive activities to share visions and promote collaboration.
  • Inspiring speeches from thought leaders in the field.
  • Opportunities to build relationships that can shape the future of our sector.

Bringing senior and young professionals together in a room during an entire day to agree on some answers to the big questions that the nuclear industry faces is a unique set-up!
